I’ve got an absolute beauty of a Cromer wedding fresh up on the blog today, coming straight from The Grove. Dare I say I’m running out of superlatives this early in the season, I feel I’m repeating myself and straying into the territory of just saying it because it’s what’s expected. Pretty much every wedding I’ve ever photographed though has been special and unique for a myriad of reasons, and the wedding of Ruth & Rich was right up there. This was an absolute humdinger of a wedding day with some amazing folk, and just all round gorgeousness all day long. As it happens my Sister got married here almost a year ago to the day, so I knew the venue well. The Grove is a wonderful Georgian house set in stunning landscaped gardens, with a swimming pool, amazing restaurant, award winning food, and glamping pods, you name it! It just so happened that The Grove is part of Ruth’s family, with Ruth running the glamping side of things. To be ‘chosen’ as it were, was quite an honour, to document the day at a venue so special to them. When I arrived the whole atmosphere and set up just took my breath away. The tipi itself was a wondrous sight, probably the best tipi I’ve ever seen. And all the people buzzing about getting ready, from folk practicing their musical cameos in the various rooms to people just wandering around in the glorious morning sunshine after a dip in the pool. The mood was most definitely set and I couldn’t wait to photograph the ceremony at Cromer church. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful, such a vast amount of people, yet so intimate all the same. Ruth and Rich wanted to grab a few shots down by the beach post ceremony what with Cromer being where Ruth grew up, so we nipped down to the beach and then back to the Grove for the rest of the day’s entertainment. As you can see from the pics, the Grove played the perfect host to their day. An abundance of joy and laughter all day long, and some pretty special evening light for some photo’s on Cromer pier. Really, it doesn’t get much better than this. Please have a gander at their pics and if you’re considering somewhere in this neck of the woods to tie the knot, the Grove should be right up there on your list of place to consider. Enjoy their images, and have a great week everybody. Catch you soon! JP x
