Welcome to the next instalment of this year’s wedding photography fun, with the wonderful Ian & Vicky. Their wedding started off with the bridal preparations at the family home in Sudbury down in sunny Suffolk, also home to the marquee reception later on in the day. The wedding ceremony itself was held at Milden Hall just outside of Lavenham (not to be confused with Mildenhall), a stunning 16th Century farmhouse and a real gem of a place to tie the knot. Everything about the wedding was awesome, the families were just lovely and I was treated like an extended member of the family for the day. Ian is quite the artist and his illustrative flair showed throughout the day from the table plans to the guests signing board which I thought was pretty cool. Each and every wedding is unique and I love the ‘spin’ people put on sometimes similar themes, yet the button holes were just right up my street and totally original. Iron Man, Batman, The Hulk et al adorned the bridal parties lapels which was something I’d never seen before. The wedding went from Milden Hall to a marquee in the family grounds, and the speeches were punctuated with a video of the Groom declaring his undying love for Vicky after a few too many shandies! We also stopped off at a field in the middle of nowhere where the proposal was made, it was a stunning location making for some gorgeous couple shots of the two. And if that wasn’t enough the evenings entertainments were capped off with a fire display by Erin from www.fireflow.co.uk in Sudbury. Come on folks, what more could you want from a wedding?
