Earlier on in 2016 I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Claire and Paul at Lenwade House. Lenwade house is a lovely venue with a resident peacock, i think everybody would be happy with a peacock at a wedding. Am I wrong? Animals aside, we were set for a smashing day as the couple had opted to be married outside. The weather was fantastic and the day kicked off with the bridal preparations and a great bunch of girls. I always meet the couples before the wedding day, as it makes such a difference turning up and being “hi, how’s things?” rather than, “which one of you is the bride?” Straight away I was welcomed into the female throng, and the day was set to be an absolute corker. Funnily enough a couple of guests at the wedding were good friends of mine too, and I was due to photograph their wedding at Godwick Barn later in the year. As this update is a bit behind, I have since photographed their wedding day and I will be sharing that blog post with you too, so keep ’em peeled! Well what else can I say about the day? Well, the first most highlight for me from behind the camera, is the fact the wedding party and guests broke into a rendition of Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” during the service. The best men held aloft cue cards with the words, and the whole party erupted and belted out what is surely the number one guilty pleasure of all time. It was a fantastic moment, and these individual touches really make each wedding unique. I loved it, almost as much as Claire and Paul! The wedding had everything, live music, open air ceremony, hilarious guests, cracking weather. What’s not to love? And of course a special mention for the beautiful dance routine from the happy couple for their first dance, culminating in a shower of roses.
