If you have never been to Oxnead Hall before, I implore you to check it out. What a stunning Norfolk venue, it was my first visit here and all I can say is what a fabulous place. It is one of those venues I could visit 100 times and still find something new. Simply an awesome place to get married. Sammi and Scott chose to tie the knot here and it was great for me on many levels. Sammi is an old school friend of mine who I hadn’t seen for many years. It was an honour to photograph the wedding and just as much fun reminiscing about our old school days. Her husband to be, the lucky Scott, was an absolute diamond and all round top bloke. A beautiful pairing of two beautiful people, to say I was excited about photographing this wedding was an understatement! With gorgeous blue skies overhead, and the stunning Oxnead surroundings, the day was set to be a blinder. And I mean that literally, thank goodness for the free sunglasses the couple provided. A lovely touch! Oxnead has it’s own church on site and is steeped in history. It was the family home of the Norfolk family The Paston’s between the 15th and 18th century. The elegant architecture and astounding grounds are the perfect backdrop for any wedding day. I think its great when all the facilities are on-site, just a short walk from the main house and you are in the church. Loads of space for the kid’s to run about too, you can see from the pics they had a fantastic day. There were fairies everywhere! The wedding day was spot on from start to finish, lots of love and laughter and tears of remembrance. A touching day, but with bags of celebration as a wedding should be. And a special mention goes out to the wasp that attacked Scott when we went for a few couple photo’s. Sammi as you can see was very understanding, doubled over in agony laughing as he ran for his life. These guys rocked it and the bridesmaids were on sparkling form too. An all round top day with top people, I loved every second. I’ll leave you to enjoy a stunner of day at Oxnead Hall, I hope to be back photographing here soon.
