It’s not every day you are the first photographer to shoot a new wedding venue, but this year it was lucky me to get in first and photograph a wedding at the Thursford Collection or The Garden Pavillion to coin it’s proper venue name in North Norfolk. As you all know I love shooting anything a bit different, and this awesome place had it in droves. I’m sure many of you are aware of the history of Thursford, if not only for it’s amazing steam museum but for it’s world famous Christmas shows and of course, the Wurlitzer!! Scott and Lucy are both creative and quirky, and although Thursford already offered a unique setting, I’d never seen so many table favours and decorations adorning one marquee. All handmade by Lucy herself who has since gone on to start her own vintage wedding company! Absolutely wonderful stuff, in fact this entire blog post could have been made up of detail shots BUT for an epic group shot on the carousel. Just a fabulous wedding, with 2 of the sweetest people you could hope to meet. A fantastic match, and an honour to be photographing their wedding at the gorgeous Garden Pavillion. And to note, if you are looking for a marquee with speakers in the ceiling (aren’t we all?) then check this out. The purpose is it can be ‘going off’ on the dance floor, whilst the other guests can sit, chat and relax in the relative quiet just yards away. The wonders of modern technology never cease to amaze.
