Welcome to the stunning wedding of Ellie & Bryce! Such an amazing couple, perfectly suited in every way. I’ve probably said that before, but I really do mean it. I guess that’s why people get married eh? What can I say about the day? We started in Hellesdon for bridal preparations, a nice and quiet affair with me meeting the family, and having a cup of tea to fire up the creativity (naturally). Couples often think the morning photography bit will be stressful, but in fact it’s quite the opposite. I see it as an opportunity to get to know everyone and more importantly, a time for people to become comfortable with me taking their photo. It certainly helps later on in the day, breaking the ice and showing people it’s not all that bad having your picture taken! We then moved onto the lovely Stower Grange in Drayton for the wedding ceremony, the bus was a tad late but who cares? Then started to tip it down too, but we didn’t care about that either! Everything was just lovely, packed with emotion and super people who had travelled from as far and wide as Switzerland. Must give Richard and his team a mention from Stower Grange too, so hospitable and really looked after everyone, including me! After a gorgeous meal and some hilarious speeches we departed Stower Grange and hopped aboard the route master bus. I love this old buses, a fantastic addition to any wedding day, and made the short drive to Hainford for the evening ding dong. Bryce’s Brother’s band ‘Dodgey Practice’, travelled up from Devon to Norwich to play the night away. They were incredible, full on horn section and amazing vocal’s from Bryce’s brother, and the utterly incredible backing singers. Bryce is a fab drummer, a man after my own heart, he even had a rat-a-tat-tat later on. Although it was raining, the laughter inside was deafening – no small part played by Olly Day the magician. He is one hell of a funny guy, a fantastic magician and a real Norfolk gem. Truly it was a cracker of a wedding, I’m no authority on these matters but you could see the adoration Ellie & Bryce had for each other. If anything, I couldn’t stop them laughing all day! I’m not sure if they were laughing at each other, laughing at me, or laughing with me, but heck we got on like a house on fire. I even stayed at their wedding until the wee small hours strutting my funky stuff on the dance floor. They made me feel so welcome, and a real part of their wedding day. It was such a pleasure and I wish them many happy years of wedded bliss. Check out some of their pics and see what you think. Enjoy. JP x
