Hello once again you lovely lot, welcome to the wedding of Verity & Joe at one of my fave venues, The Boathouse in Ormesby. Norfolk is spoilt for cracking places to get married and The Boathouse never fails to disappoint. A picture postcard setting no less made all the better today by Verity and Joe and their amazing wedding entourage. The morning started with bridal preps at Sunset House, a wonderful B&B in East Harling near their family home. The fab Melissa Abel was working her make up awesomeness and Cara Lucy was styling the girls hair pretty. The girls were all on the great form when I arrived, nice and relaxed smashing a lush looking breakfast building up their strength for the big day. Lots of laughs and giggles were had, and after some photography of the preps I hightailed it over to The Boathouse to catch up with the lads. The Boathouse looked stunning today, with Verity’s Dad having offered his flower arranging skills to dress the venue in a way I hadn’t seen before. Loads of gorgeous floral arrangements, it really was quite beautiful as you can see from the pics. And to top it off we were treated with an outdoor ceremony on the decking…woohoo! The bridal party arrived in style by the boat, always a wonderful aspect as you see them arrive. And aside from the wind (which I don’t mind at all as a baldy) I’d be giving it a perfect 10.  Everything went swimmingly and Belinda and her team at the Boathouse made sure everything behind the scenes ran as smoothly as can be. You’d be hard pushed to find a venue more organised I can tell you! We went on the obligatory boat ride and got some lovely shots of the two of them. Some couples can do the ‘romantic, wistful ‘look’. And some just laugh A LOT. I think it’s fair to say these guys fell into the latter camp, and I although love both kinds of ‘looks’ I tend to shoot what suits the mood, rather than forcing the photos. So much fun and happiness throughout the day, and some groovy dancing out on the decking. I believe some of the guests had a bit of a penchant for Mamma Mia – cue ‘Dancing Queen’ and the Abba lovers heading out onto the pontoon for a sweet rendition. If any of you have seen the movie, you’ll know everyone jumps into the water at the end. Thankfully that didn’t happen! Also after said rendition, I was told no more than 10 people at a time of the walkway! Sorry Belinda and the Boathouse crew, there was no stopping these guys, they were on fire! It made for such a brilliant set of images from their wedding day as you can see, an abundance of pure joy and elegance in equal measure. Thanks to the Boathouse, all the families and Andy of Re-Dawn Promotions for providing the evening entertainment with an incredible set up. And of course, to Verity and Joe for being such great sports and a top couple on the day. Loved the day, love you guys, hope y’all love the pics. Much love. JP x
