Voewood House, Kelling, near Holt. Sexy venue – check. Cool couple – check. Awesome weather – check. I could actually just leave the blog post here and let the images do the talking, but that would be rude. You know some people are just supercool and don’t try, and I guess that’s where the coolness lies. Claire and Matthew are just that, the epitome of awesome, oozing loveliness and warmth. All of these personal characteristics were followed through in their day what with amazing kids, decor, family and friends. Simply the day was a real gem. Voewood House is one of my favourite venues too, for all the obvious reasons you can see from the images. Stacks of charm, stunning grounds, quirk in abundance. Inside and out of Voewood there are nooks and cranny’s, funky furniture and of course, alligator skulls. I could do a whole post on just the details of the place, and as you can see this couple suited their surroundings to a tee. Flamingo Amy was there, a hair and make up artist extraordinaire working her wizardry. And all the kids were mucking in and laughing whilst decorating outside in the late morning sunshine. The vibe was set, serenity yet bubbling excitement under the surface of what was to come. I’ve often thought that of Voewood House actually, being able to stay the night before and have the house to yourself is pretty incredible. When I arrive to photograph bridal preps, the family, friends and whoever stayed are settled yet excited. That’s not to say there weren’t nerves, Claire and Matthew both were a bit jittery, that’s just natural. Having said that, Matthew didn’t take much encouragement to ‘work it’ a little during the groom preps pics. The lads I have to say were all absolute diamonds and it was great fun witnessing them and their antics throughout the day. As was Claire and their little ladies, I’m blessed with 2 daughters also and these girls were super sweet all day long. Anyways, that’s enough of me rattling on, check out Voewood House if you haven’t considered or heard of it before. It’s a fantastic wedding venue, as was Claire and Matthew’s wedding. It genuinely was a real pleasure to photograph their wedding and I’m looking forward to their post-wedding party which I’ve been invited to! Love these guys, hope you love their wedding pics too!
