Southwold wedding up on the blog today. Pretty much my favourite place on earth. And to photograph a wedding in Southwold is pretty much my dream day. Add to the mix an awesome couple, a super gorgeous D.I.Y. wedding at Woodfarm Barns at Benacre, and you’ve got yourself one helluva wedding. Kick off with bridal preparations at the gorgeous Sunderland House on Southwold high street. It’s great that I’ve got to know a bunch of these ladies over time as I’ve shot pretty much all the friends weddings! Genuinely a brilliant, hilarious and slightly bonkers crew. Pretty much folk after my own heart.
Obviously the morning was amazing with the fairer gender, laughter ensued as always. Then the gem in Southwold’s crown (aside from Adnams), the wedding ceremony at The Electric Picture Palace in Southwold. What a place! Dripping with lushness, a stunning Art Deco building and perfect place to get married.
Everything about the Southwold wedding was superb, loving every minute with the beach to follow. The day just gets better and better. Carousels, frisbees, ice cream, beers on the beach. I mean, what more could you want? And then the incredible wedding set up at Woodfarm Barns, with loads of handmade stuff by the family. So personal and unique, D.I.Y. weddings are so much work but they are so worth it. Bursting with the personality of the couple which I love. Simply put it was an absolute pleasure to photograph, and sadly they are running out of friends to get married. If I ever get married you’re all invited! Love these guys, love this wedding, hope you enjoy too. JP xx
