A Norfolk Countryside Wedding | Charlotte & Ben

Hello campers! Summer is here *whoop whoop* and I for one am LOVING it! I have such a lush Norfolk countryside wedding for you on the blog today, and it was a proper exciting wedding for me. I photographed the bride’s Sister and her hubby (hellooo Vicks and Tom if you’re reading this) here in Rockland St Mary a year ago, and now I’m back for her Sister Charlotte and Ben’s wedding. Total bunch of legends this family were last year, so I knew I was going to be well looked after with ham sandwiches, coffee and loads of banter. They didn’t disappoint. I arrived in the morning and was immediately greeted by a bunch of waving bridesmaids on the amazing finished balcony, which was under construction last year. Such a stunning house, with a bootiful bride and a gaggle of gorgeous bridesmaids ready to rock the day. The awesome Flamingo Amy was there on hair duty and lovely Sarah Swaine for make up, doing their thing. Of course we got some nice reportage, detail and make up shots, but more importantly I was tasked with getting a few nice pics of the various dogs. After a bit of sweat, and not much joy, it turns out (unsurprisingly) that ham sandwiches will get a dog’s attention. I shall add that to my photography armoury. One hundred dog shots later, I scooted over to Ditchingham Church to catch up with the lads and folk arriving. Ben and the boys were on top form, and seeing Charlotte turn up with the biggest smile ever really set the day off. To be honest i found it hard to find a photo of Charlotte not smiling, she’s a happy one that’s for sure! The ceremony was lovely and outside a surprise awaited, which Ben had secretly organised. An amazing horse and cart to whisk them away. Charlotte loves her horses and sadly, also lost her very own horse recently. After tears and laughter the couple set off and we all whizzed back for the knees up. The rest of the day went just perfectly, the girls insisted on wading through potato fields to get a photo (honestly nothing to do with me ‘guv) and the lads worked their peacock suits in a wood shed. Just loads of fab photos from another fab day spent with this lovely lot. Loads of pics for you to browse through here, hope you enjoy the post. And if anyone needs a photographer to stand in field, you should probably call me x

    Hey James,

I have just finished looking through the complete set of Char and Ben’s wedding photos and WOW! Your photos never disappoint and blow me away every time! So many fantastic photos to remember a very special day. How lucky we were to have stumbled across your website when Tom and I were planning our own big day a few years back. Bring on the next “Rockland” wedding I say! Oh and wading across the field in high heels to get those bridesmaid shots was definitely worth it – nothing to do with you though you say? 🙂 Take care and keep up the amazing work!Vicks xIf any bride/grooms-to-be are reading this and are considering booking James – JUST DO IT! I promise you will not be disappointed!
